JW's Unanswerable Question & Why Doesn't Everyone Take Them to Task For This?

the one question that is absolutely unanswerable by jehovah's witnesses that actually understand their own doctrines is this:.

can you show me even one new testament scripture that shows how a person can get their sins forgiven while outside of the new covenant?.

most of us are familiar with the one proof scripture that has all the necessary elements tied together into one neat doctrine - matther 26: 27,28:.

Spot on Perry. It's a completely unscriptural teaching. Being a Christian and being in the new covenant are concomitant, inseparable. No such thing in scripture as a Christian who wasn't in the new covenant. It's like saying there was a Jew who wasn't in the Mosaic covenant.

Nobody can escape Adamic death without being in the new covenant, period. JW's are convinced they are going to pass right on through Armageddon wearing white robes standing in the 'naos' inner sanctuary itself without being in the new covenant. Ridiculous.

It's obviously a 'good news' way beyond what Jesus or the apostles taught. It's Rutherford's 'good news'. JW's need to decide who they believe, the apostles gospel as recorded in scripture or Joseph Rutherford's gospel.

Is it just me or has this site become a Believer/Atheist warzone?

i enjoy the odd thread about evoloution vs creation, etc but lately it seems that a large percentage of threads here devolve into fighting between atheists and theists and distract from what most of us here see eye to eye on, the wt and related things.

i wish things could be more civil here and fr people to realize that people will never see eye to eye on the topic.

it gets so tiring to see the contstant bickring and fighting on those threads.. they seem to go on page after page but very little of substance is discussed seeing as the existence or non existence of a god can be proven by anyone.

I tend to agree with the opening post. Simon should create a new board on here for atheism v creation debates, and another for debating the truthfulness of the Bible.

a few things that don't fully add up in the bible seem to present an interesting possibility....... many comment on how in the old testament god at times seems so different from the new testament, and on a rampage all the time.

before stephen was martyed, he said for the 40 years wandering in the wilderness they were actually following moloch?

or in exodus, god told moses he was sending an angel to lead them and they better obey him fully because the angel would be unforgiving if they didn't follow his every word.

Which only begs the question: then wherever did you even get the idea of a God who created anything, in the first place?

You must know that human beings have been worshipping 'divine' forces and entities long before they learned to read and write. If it wasn't a biblical God or Mesopotamian gods or Vedic gods it was the sun or spirits controlling the forces and cycles of nature, or whatever. It's quite a natural human instinct to feel that there is something else out there bigger than ourselves.
